Where did we start?
This adventure began with a frustrated expat, Brian, stuck in a beer-mad city. He was lost for a boozy beverage to fit his healthy, active lifestyle. With lockdown time on his hands, Brian decided it was about time to find something to fill this gap.
“Moonshining” as mates joked – fermenting and distilling kombucha at home to be accurate – began and BEO was born.
Why BEO?
This is where we tap into our Irish roots. “Beo” simply means “alive” in Irish - just like our kombucha. And, by the way, it does rhyme with grow.
